ACT is a college admission test similar to SAT and it is administered by the American College Test. Most colleges accept either SAT or ACT scores. Please check each specific college web site for its requirements. The ACT test includes 215 multiple choice questions and takes approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to complete. An additional 30 minutes is required if you are taking ACT plus Writing. The ACT test is conducted in September, October, December, February, April, and June. ACT plus Writing is not available in February. ACT has a science section (reading comprehension). ACT multiple choice questions have only 4 answer choices whereas SAT has 5 answer choices. ACT does not have negative scoring. On the ACT test, you are not permitted a calculator for the science section.
We offer ACT test preparation in conjunction with SAT test preparation. We allow students to prepare for both tests simultaneously. While students attend SAT preparation classes, we provide additional training for ACT.
